There are some areas of my home that don't need to be cleaned. Will it cost less?

Yes. We only charge you for the rooms that need to be cleaned.

If you have a spare bedroom that never gets used, it won’t count towards your home cleaning cost.

Let us know what needs to be cleaned, and your fee will depend only on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms that we clean.

I've never hired a cleaner before. What should I expect?

First off, go you. Outsourcing your cleaning is a power move.

It also takes a bit of bravery. After all, you’ve got people coming inside your home.

Second, don’t worry about a thing. We are literally professionals at cleaning.

A first-time cleaning starts with an introduction to your cleaning team (if you choose to be home). We’ll take a quick tour of your home. Then, we’ll bring in our equipment — vacs, mops, and other cleaning supplies.

Next, we’ll begin the magic of transforming your home into a breathtakingly clean haven. Depending on the size and layout of your home, we’ll start from the top and work down. If you are home, we’ll take our cues from your location, and make sure that we avoid interrupting you during that Zoom call or baby’s nap time.

I am sensitive or allergic to strong cleaning scents and products.

We understand. Please let us know about any sensitivities, and we’ll be sure to customize a cleaning solution that is best for your needs.

What cleaning products do you use?

For standard cleanings, we use traditional cleaning supplies to allow both for disinfection and a thorough, safe cleaning.

Examples:
Microfiber cleaning cloths
Mrs. Meyer’s all-purpose spray
Bona hardwood floor cleaner or stone/tile cleaner
Melamine sponge (Magic Eraser)
Organic cleaning available by request (for an additional cost)

If you have special requests or require green cleaning, let us know. We are happy to accommodate.

How do I pay you? (What payment methods do you take?)

We accept payments via Zelle, PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, Visa/Master Card, or Check.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We require a 24-hour notice for cancellations and reschedules.

This allows us to prioritize you and our other customers, and makes sure that our cleaners are prepared for each client properly.

Want to know what really makes us happy? If you need to reschedule, just let us know two (2) business days in advance.

A $50 last-minute cancellation fee is incurred if less than a 24-hour notice is given.

I have nice things.

Avid Cleaning Services specializes in high-end homes, and we take extreme caution with your home and your belongings.

Fabergé egg on the mantelpiece? We won’t touch it.

Salvador Dali painting in the hallway? We won’t spray it with Fabuloso. Promise.

We’ll be careful. Very careful.

What if you break something in my home.

First, we probably won’t.

Second, if we do, we will tell you. None of this quick-let’s-hide-it-and-hope-they-don’t-notice stuff is going on.

Third, we will pay for it.

Do you do one time cleanings?

Yes. Although, to be totally transparent, we do prefer to clean on a regular basis.

A recurring clean guarantees that your home doesn’t just GET clean, but it STAYS clean. The more often we come, the cleaner your home gets.

What should I do while you clean?

Whatever you want to do. Watch TV. Work. Chill. Take a walk.

Most of our clients are not at home while we clean. If you work from home, have young children at home, etc., that’s totally fine. We’ll do our best to stay out of your way while we clean.

It gets a little awkward if you follow us around and watch our every move, but, hey, we’ll get it done.

How long does a Standard Cleaning take?

Expect 4-6 hours. Obviously, it depends. If you live in the Grand Island Mansion, it will take us longer than if you live in a one-bedroom at The Strand in Sacramento.

Do you provide green or eco-friendly cleaning?

We sure do. If you require a green cleaning, please let us know beforehand and we will discuss rates.

Do I need to clean before the cleaners come?

You can if you want to, of course. You do you.

If you clean your house before we come, we’ll be a little sad. But we’ll also be able to clean a bit more efficiently.

It’s totally up to you. But, seriously, we don’t mind. We’re here to clean YOUR house so you don’t have to.

Do you service my area?

We service all of Placer and Sacramento counties.

Our team comes to you from the Roseville area, so if your place is outside of about a 30 minute drive, a small travel fee will be added.

What is included in a standard cleaning?

Standard cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment. Cleaning/vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dusting, etc. We do offer extra services like cleaning inside the fridge and inside the oven, and those can be selected on the booking form when you select service.

Do you bring your own equipment?

Yep. We’re coming in with all we need.

If you request a green cleaning, please notify us ahead of time so we can make sure we’re ready for that.

Also, if you prefer us to use your vacuum, let us know and we are happy to do so.

Can I get paid when you clean? (Yes! Referrals!)

We have a fantastic referral program.

When you refer a new client that books a deep clean service, move in/out service, or standard service of six hours or more, we will give you a 15% discount on your next cleaning.

Do you charge extra for pets?

We love all the doggos and kitties!

But, sadly, their pet hair takes extra work to clean.

We charge $10 to $30 for cleanings that include pet hair, depending on how much pet hair there is.
